St Martin/St Maarten has 11 major Marinas catering to
boats of all sizes.
As a result, the island during high season
has become a favorite in the Caribbean for
Megayachts, which elegantly grace our Marinas each year.
With some of the best services and provisioning to the sailing
industry, it is no surprise that St Martin/St Maarten
has become the cruising capital of the Caribbean.
FRENCH SIDE MARINAS
The newest addition to the French Side Marinas, Fort Louis is
once again host and home to this year’s Billfish Tournament
Fishing Teams. Located on the attractive Marigot seafront near the
exclusive Le West Indies shopping mall, this striking new Marina
allows easy access to the French-Caribbean delights of Marigot’s fine
dining and shopping circuit.
The marina has a capacity for 185 boats
including room for 12 megayachts and has a draft of 12-15ft.
Electricity supply is 110V, 220V, 3-phase, 380 max 100A metered.
This year, the Marina will be teeming with around 40 Sport Fishing
boats from around the Caribbean, all vying to be the champions on
the podium in the ‘Billfishing Village’ which will be located on the
harbor with dining areas, a bar, VIP areas, souvenir stands and a
stage for live entertainment.
